Asiamoney is pleased to announce the winners of its fifth annual and largest ever Private Banking Poll. The questionnaire was distributed to high-net-worth individuals who have funds under management with private banks in Asia-Pacific. The poll results were based on 1,440 valid votes this year.

The responses are broken down according to the size of clients’ assets under management (AUM) with private banks in Asia-Pacific. In the overall category for global private banks, the Swiss bank shook off its global woes to be voted top across all categories, according to respondents with differing amounts under management.

Further results are broken down into countries where the main private banks of respondents are located. For Hong Kong and Taiwan, UBS Wealth Management dominated the respective AUM categories, while Deutsche Bank Private Wealth Management similarly won each category in India and Singapore. South Korea is the only country to boast a domestic private bank – Samsung – as the overall winner and it too sweeps the board.
