The two have overtaken powerful rivals to top the league tables for Asia-Pacific M&A advisory, knocking UBS and J.P. Morgan back down. Financial institutions remains the leading revenue generating sector for M&A in the region.
Japanese bank Nomura and Australian firm Macquarie have topped the league tables for revenues generated from Asia-Pacific M&A advisory so far this year.
It the process they have overtaken powerhouses such as UBS and Goldman Sachs in the region.
