Opinion: accumulators will prevail over good sense

Hesitancy has returned among investors in recent weeks as equity derivative dealers have reported a slowdown in accumulators. They seem to be watching range-bound markets carefully before deciding whether to take a punt. But don’t bet on good sense prevailing.
It’s clearly a changed world when equity derivatives bankers claim that demand for accumulators has slowed in recent weeks and it barely raises any eyebrows.
