Asia private equity buy-outs start year quietly

Deal activity in Asia’s private equity arena began lightly last week, with just five transactions worth a total of US$176 million, writes mergermarket.

Deal activity in the Asian private equity arena was comparatively light last week with just five transactions worth a total of US$176 million coming to market across the region.

Chief among these was Archer Capital, the Australian private equity firm, which announced the sale of two of its portfolio companies – the Onesource Group and Leasing Solutions Ltd.

Archer’s exit from the Onesource Group was valued at US$76 million and saw the business being acquired by CSG Ltd, the Australian ICT company.
