BNP inks Taiwanese asset management JV

The asset management arm of BNP Paribas has signed a deal with Taiwan Cooperative Bank to form a joint-venture company. The match appears to be a promising one as the island’s financial markets continue to develop.

BNP Paribas Investment Partners has signed a deal with Taiwan Cooperative Bank (TCB) to form a joint-venture asset management firm in the country.

The two firms are seeking to capitalise on a common distribution platform to provide funds and other investments to meet the needs of Taiwanese investors.

The match is a good one, given that TCB has 300 branches while BNP Paribas Investment Partners is a global asset manager operating in 45 countries throughout Europe, Asia and the Americas.
