RBS Coutts hires SE Asia market head from UBS

The international private banking arm of RBS has hired Manfred Liechti from UBS as market head for south-east Asia in Singapore. The firm has added over 60 staff in Singapore and Hong Kong since suffering an exodus.

RBS Coutts has hired Manfred Liechti as market head for south-east Asia from UBS in Singapore in what is a new role at the bank, asiamoney.com can confirm.

Liechti will start in March with responsibility for the Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thai markets. He will report to Paul Davies, the firm’s head of private banking South Asia.
