Analysts take positive view on HSBC earnings

HSBC unveiled disappointing 2009 earnings this week, but analysts remain upbeat on its longer-term outlook as it continues to manage losses from its US business and realigns its focus towards emerging market growth.

Banking analysts remain positive about HSBC’s long term prospects in spite of the disappointing set of results announced by the firm this week.
