Wealth manager BSI launches Asia blitz

The Switzerland-based firm says it is launching a new initiative to expand its business in Asia. It is timed to coincide with the official start of Hanspeter Brunner as CEO of BSI Bank Ltd Singapore.

Switzerland-based private wealth manager BSI launched a publicity blitz today (March 9) to announce its reinvigorated expansion drive in Asia.

The 137-year-old bank, which is part of financial and insurance group Generali, set up a subsidiary in Singapore back in 2005 to capitalise on opportunities in the region for private wealth management.

Last year it scored a considerable coup by landing industry respected Hanspeter Brunner from RBS Coutts to be CEO of BSI Bank Ltd Singapore.

Its blitz is designed to coincide with the beginning of Brunner’s tenure, given that he officially started this month. He will oversee BSI’s Singapore subsidiary and further strengthen the strategic development of BSI in Asian markets....
