Beijing’s economic reorientation to benefit stocks

The asset management company believes that China’s wage hikes, inflation, and slowing GDP growth are part of a larger plan by Beijing to re-orientate the country’s economy. It believes selective sectors will benefit in the medium term. Karina Vachani reports.

China’s floundering stock markets should selectively strengthen late this year and next from a massive macroeconomic reorientation process by Beijing to encourage domestic consumption over exports, predicts Dutch asset management company Robeco.
