HSBC hires new debt syndicate head

The UK bank has announced the appointment of Mark Mallia to head up the Asia Pacific debt syndicate debt, replacing Sean Henderson who will lead debt capital markets for Australia at the start of 2011. Mallia had briefly worked for BNP Paribas debt division last year.
HSBC has appointed credit and debt expert Mark Mallia to head up the bank’s Asia-Pacific debt syndication business. Mallia, who joins on January 1 in Hong Kong, will be responsible for the pricing and distribution of Asian fixed-income products.
