SBI bond deal to revive weak USD Indian corp debt issuance

State Bank of India’s bond deal is likely to be successful and will open the gates for dozens of Indian banks to flood the dollar debt market to sap pent-up demand, say debt bankers.
The dried-up activity in India’s US dollar-denominated bond issuance may see some respite as bankers expect the State Bank of India’s debt offering to be scooped up by investors hungry for Indian bank debt.
